Orange County Speedway was exciting, fast and hot this past Saturday night

as the Carolina Pro Late Models and the Carolina Crate Modifieds came to

America's fastest 3/8 mile!

Gus Dean held off Nick Loden in the Carolina Pro Late Model 75 lap event to

take the victory. Minnesota native, William Sawalich would finish third,

with Leland Honeyman, Jr. and Katie Hettinger rounding the top five.

Cayden Lapcevich saw the checkered flag first in the 62 lap Carolina Crate

Modified event. Kevin Orlando would finish second; Dan Spenny, third; Dean

Lowder, fourth; and Junior Snow would round out their top five.

The Bojangles' Late Models put on a great show for the fans as Bradley

McCaskill held off Daniel Moss to take the victory! Richard Hayden would

finish third, with Wesley Johnson and Tracey Chambers rounding out the top

five.

The Choice Automotive Chargers had twin 20 lap events as they raced in

memory of Billy Purnell. Chance Carpenter won the first race and Rusty

Denny won the second event. For Rusty Daniel, this was his first Choice

Automotive Charger victory! Austin Purnell would finish second in both

events.

In the other events, Southern Outlaw Front Wheel Drive League victor was

Tommy Raino. The Winstead Farms Mini-Stock winner was Issac Chandler and

Corey Purnell took the victory in the Smokey Dave's BBQ Mod 4.

The next racing event on the schedule at OCS is scheduled for Saturday,

September 11.
