Frances Hamlett Blalock, 87, of 816 Egypt Rd., Prospect Hill, died Saturday, April 22, 2023. Born in Caswell County, Mrs. Blalock was the daughter of the late Johnny Martin and Mary Fannie Wilkins Hamlett, wife of the late Benjamin “Ben” Hardy Blalock and sister of the late Robert “Pete” Hamlett.

She was a graduate of Prospect Hill High School where she played basketball. Mrs. Blalock was a homemaker and a member of Griers Presbyterian Church where she served as pianist for a period of time and was also a member of the women of the church.

Mrs. Blalock is survived by three children, Anthony Hardy Blalock, James Keith Blalock and Jennifer B. Satterfield and husband John; one brother, George Carlton Hamlett; two grandchildren, Benjamin Graham Satterfield and Irvin Lee Satterfield.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Griers Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Steve Jordan. Burial will follow in the Blalock Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-7:30 PM Tuesday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lunsford, Tim Yarborough, Kenneth Yarborough, Jeff Oakley, Chuck Crumpton, David Crumpton, Mike Blalock, Mark Blalock and Bob Hamlett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Griers Presbyterian Church, Attn: Annette McDuffie, 51 Frank Smith Rd., Leasburg, NC 27291.
