Clyde Douglas Willis
Clyde Douglas Willis, 89 of 68 Old Montgomery Road, Milton, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Parham Doctor’s Hospital, Richmond, Virginia. He had been in declining health for the past six months.
Clyde was born in Caswell County, NC in the Estelle Community on March 27, 1931, a son of the late Willard Warner Willis and Eugie Brandon Willis. He had worked for Imperial Tobacco Company for many years in Richmond Virginia as a bookkeeper prior to moving back to Caswell County. He later worked for the Danville Golf Club as a Bookkeeper until he retirement. Clyde also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Clyde was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, choir member and past Sunday School Teacher. He played the piano and loved to do paintings. Clyde was also a wonderful cook.
Clyde is survived by nephews, Jeff Surface (Donna) of Milton, NC, Billy Willis of Milton, NC and Wayne Willis (Alice) of Winston-Salem, NC., Great niece Hannah Lambert (Zach), Great nephews Nathan Surface (Beth) and Chris Dailey (April). Clyde was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.
A graveside for service Clyde will be conducted on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1760 Yarborough Mill Road, Milton, NC with the Rev. Wayne Willis and Rev. Rusty Oliver.
