Dan River Church offers free movie night on Friday
Everyone is in for a treat when attending the Dan River Church's Movie Night on Friday, December 10, 6 p.m. The popular Christmas movie “Polar Express” will be offered free of charge with cookies and hot chocolate provided by Dan River Church.
The whole church will be filled with beautiful decorations and Christmas trees. They were put up for the most part on November 22 and 23 in a joint effort by staff and volunteers. “More decorations were put up after Thanksgiving,” shares Administrative Assistant Lori Browning.
This is not the first movie night for the popular church. “We had a drive in movie night in the summer where people could pull into our parking lot, stay in their cars or sit in chairs, while they watched “Toy Story 4” on the big screen. There was free popsicles and popcorn all provided by Dan River Church,” she adds.
The church will hold a special Christmas Eve program on Friday, December 24, 2 p.m and again at 4 p.m.
During the regular week, the indoor playground is available for adults to bring children Monday – Thursday,10 a.m.– 4 p.m. The Kids Cove is open to the public, but children must be accompanied by a parent.
“This is a time to come together and enjoy the holidays in a family-friendly event. I encourage everyone to join us. You are welcome here!” she says.
The church is located at 2805 Riverside Drive, Danville (next to the Habitat for Humanity Store and the Salvation Army in the former Value City shopping center).
