God’s Storehouse, a local non-profit food pantry serving Danville and Pittsylvania County, has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the LB Charitable Foundation. This grant will enable God’s Storehouse to purchase food to be distributed to the local community and will assist in covering some operating expenses. Representatives from the LB Charitable Foundation will present the grant at God’s Storehouse on February 24, 2021 at 2:00pm.

“This is a new grant opportunity for God’s Storehouse and I am very grateful to the LB Charitable Foundation for choosing to award these funds to us. We are very honored and blessed by their generosity,” Said Karen Harris, Executive Director of God’s Storehouse. “On average, we serve approximately 129 people every day and serve many who are unemployed due to COVID. These funds will greatly aid our ability to serve the hungry in our area.”

LB Charitable Foundation is a “family-led foundation whose primary objectives are philanthropy and well-being.” Their mission is to “support non-profit organizations, human and health services, homeless shelters, military veterans, religious causes and humane societies / animal shelters."
