Monday, March 29, is Vietnam Veterans Day across the nation - a day to recognize all who served in Vietnam, all that lost their lives, a day of remembrance.
On March 29, 2012 President Barack Obama proclaimed by proclamation to recognize March 29 as Vietnam Veterans Day.
“On December 26, 2016 President Elect Donald Trump and congressional leaders were presented a letter from the Vietnam Veterans Coalition asking for legislation to make it official. On March 28, 2017 President Trump signed the “Vietnam Veterans Recognition Act of 2017”, that made it official,” explains Fred Smith, VFW Post 7316 Commander.
On Monday, March 29, at the “Caswell County Veterans Memorial,” there will be a short program of remembrance to recognize Caswell County Vietnam Veterans. This will be at noon, 12 PM.
Everyone is invited especially Vietnam Veterans, other Veterans that served.Everyone please come and show your appreciation.
