Lucky Duck Gaming Establishment Owner Indicted by Rockingham County Grand Jury
On March 16, 2021, the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, working in collaboration with North Carolina Alcohol Enforcement (ALE) executed a search warrant at the Lucky Duck Internet Café located at 3998 US Highway 220, Madison, N.C.
After investigating the gaming establishment, which had reopened a few months prior, Rockingham County Sheriff's Detectives and ALE Agents believed it to be operating illegally.
During the search warrant, a number of various video gaming electronics and hard drives, video surveillance equipment and an undisclosed amount of cash were seized from the business.
Following the investigation, Lucky Duck Internet Café owner, Kimberly "Robin" O'Brien Pettiutt, 60, was Indicted by a Rockingham County Grand Jury on three (3) counts of Operate/Possess a Slot Machine (M), three (3) counts of Operate Video Gaming Machine (M), two (2) counts of Operate >5 Video Gaming Machines (F) and one count of Gambling (M).
Ms. Pettiutt was arrested on Monday June 14, 2021 in Orange County, North Carolina (where she resides) and was released by a Magistrate on a Written Promise to Appear in Court.
