2021 Hoedown set for Saturday, September 25
2021 Bright Leaf Hoedown in Caswell County will be the last Saturday in September, September 25, 2021. It will begin at 9:0 0 am and end at dusk. After the past year of the community being cooped up inside due to the pandemic, this festival will be a welcome way for everyone to gather for a day of fun and fellowship.
Once again, the event will be held on the Historic Square in Downtown Yanceyville. It will include the Caswell Veterans Classic Car Show, two stages of live entertainment, a street dance, crafter and artisan booths, nonprofit and commercial exhibit areas, and a focus on agriculture. Local nonprofit food vendors and a select few noncompeting food trucks will also be there for the day.
Several organizations are presenting special exhibits to include the NC Women’s Suffrage display at the Gunn Memorial Library, a special display of Caswell artists and art auction by the Caswell Arts Council and an interactive agriculture area by the Caswell County Cooperative Extension. A larger ‘Kids Kountry’ area is planned for the children this year.
With over 80 vendor booths in 2019, this year the committee is planning on at least that many this fall with several new attractions that will surely be enjoyed.
Sponsorship opportunities are now available, and the community is invited to support the festival as well. Coordinated by the Caswell County Chamber of Commerce, the annual Hoedown is made possible by the support of a large group of volunteers. Without everyone working together this event would not be possible.
If you are interested in being a volunteer, sponsoring or have other ideas and questions, call the Chamber at 336-694-6106. CaswellChamber.org/Hoedown.
