North Carolina's three aquariums will reopen to the public on Monday, Sept. 14, as North Carolina moves into Phase 2.5 of its reopening plan during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The reopening includes some new procedures to keep guests, staff and animals safe, says a press release.

To limit the number of people inside the buildings, aquarium admission will be available online only at, and guests must reserve their tickets for specific arrival times.

Guests and employees must wear face coverings and maintain social distancing.
