The Winston-Salem Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office is excited to announce the next installment of our virtual outreach. Scheduled to take place September 23, 2020, from 11am to 12pm, the event will provide awareness and information regarding VA Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) services (formally called Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment). This virtual WebEx event is open to all. We hope that you can attend yourself and share the invitation with Veterans, family members, and constituents in your community.
The VR&E process--also known as Chapter 31--is designed to assist Veterans with service-connected disabilities to obtain suitable employment and/or achieve independent living goals. It is comprised of several phases, involving tasks for both VR&E staff and Veterans to complete.
Winston-Salem VA Regional Office VR&E experts will cover eligibility, how to apply, and how this program can assist service-connected Veterans in exploring employment options and addressing training needs. In some cases, family members may also qualify for certain benefits.
We look forward to hosting you. The event is free and advance registration is not required. To learn more about VR&E, please join us September 23, 2020, at 11am with this LINK or from a mobile device by dialing 1-404-397-1596 and using event number 199 935 2167.
Attendance is limited to the first 1,000 people. If you are unable to attend, please visit https://www.va.gov/careers-employment/vocational-rehabilitation/ to learn more.
