Receiving NCSBA recognition were: Mel Battle, Award of Distinction (401-500 hours of training); Gladys Garland, Bronze Award (601-700 hours of training); Tracy Stanley, Certificate of Achievement (101-200 hours of training); and Ross Gwynn, Award of Excellence (301-400 hours of training).

Monday's Caswell County Board of Education meeting started off with a bang when Superintendent Dr. Sandra Carter, congratulated and presented certificates of achievement to four members of the board who recently earned recognition from the North Carolina School Board Association (NCSBA)

Dr. Carter explains, ?The NCSBA recognition is awarded to individuals who have participated in a minimum of 30 hours of training during the current school year through the Academy for School Boardsmanship program.  The certificates of achievement are cumulative based on hours of training.?   

Awards were presented to:  Tracy Stanley, Certificate of Achievement (101-200 hours of training); Ross Gwynn, Award of Excellence (301-400 hours of training); Mr. Mel Battle, Award of Distinction (401-500 hours of training); and Gladys Garland, Bronze Award (601-700 hours of training).
