The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office, Yanceyville Fire Department and North Carolina Highway State Patrol responded to a three-car accident right outside of Yanceyville town limits, heading down U.S. Highway 86 South Friday afternoon.
According to N.C. State Trooper Crabtree, a black GMC Yukon and silver Ford Escape sports utility vehicle were headed southbound down U.S. 86 South when they slowed down for a turning vehicle. A gray Mitsubishi failed to respond in time and slammed into the Escape, which slammed into the Yukon, resulting in the Escape ending up on top of the Eclipse.
There were no serious injuries involved and first responders were diligently working to get the scene cleared. As a result of the accident, traffic heading northbound was diverted down old U.S. Highway 86.
