Caswell man gets 21 years

Dustin Alan Dixon

On June 10, Dustin Alan Dixon, 33, pled guilty in Caswell County Superior Court to one count of Statutory Rape of a Child who is 15 years old or younger and one count of Indecent Liberties with a Child. Superior Court Judge Richard Gottlieb sentenced Dixon to a minimum of 260 months and a maximum of 372 months in prison. Additionally, Dixon must register as a sex offender upon his release.

At the time of the offenses, Dixon was dating the victim’s mother and living with her at a residence in Prospect Hill. In December of 2017, he had sexual intercourse with the 14-year old at that residence, which resulted in the 14-year old becoming pregnant with his child. After the victim gave birth, a paternity test concluded that Dixon was the biological father of the baby.

District Attorney Jason Ramey said: “I would like to thank Sheriff Durden, Deputy Graham Staley, Deputy Caroline Curry, and Assistant District Attorney Michelle Alcon for their excellent work in this case to secure justice for the victim and ensuring that Dustin Dixon will spend at least 21 years behind bars for his terrible crimes."
