Showdown on the Playground

The final game was between the Oakwood Eagles and the EMS Shockers and this game was pretty intense as well but the EMS Shockers finished on top proclaiming them as the 1st Caswell County Showdown on the Playground Kickball Tournament winners.

On Saturday, June 15 Caswell County Government held a countywide kickball tournament. This kickball tournament was made possible through The Health Collaborative 2018 THRIVE! Challenge in which Caswell County was awarded $500 to hold a wellness event. Eight teams signed up to play Kickball on Saturday but only Seven teams were able to play. The day was filled with lots of laughter and screams of encouragement from the stands. The games started at 3 p.m. and ended at 7 p.m. The 7 teams that participated were: Oakwood Eagles, Lightning Strikers, Slim Kickins, EMS Shockers, Caswell Family Medical Center Kickers, Saved By The Ball and Oakwood One Kick Wonders. The game between the CFMC Kickers and the Oakwood Eagles was the most intense game of all. This game determined who would finish in 3rd place. After 45 minutes of play the game went into 3 extra innings to finally deem the Oakwood Eagles the winner.
